SQL Server 7.0 Service Packs

Find all service packs available for SQL Server 7.0, and SQL Server 6.5. Service packs address specific issues discovered in a version of SQL Server since its ship date and help to ensure that your database applications are secure. Because SQL Server service packs are cumulative, the most recent service pack includes all updates from previously released service packs, and can be applied to an original installation or to one where previously released service packs have been applied. Therefore, Microsoft recommends that you apply the latest service pack available. Earlier service packs are available on this page for customers who need access to a specific service pack.

Service packs are listed below in order of most to least recent.

Note: If you use SQL Server authentication, also known as standard security, with SQL Server 7.0 or SQL Server 2000, read FIX: Service Pack Installation May Save Standard Security Password in File in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
