derivedBy Property

 

[This feature was only implemented for MSXML 6.0.]

Returns a SCHEMADERIVATIONMEHOD constant. This constant indicates how the type definition was derived.

var conDerivedBy = objISchemaType.derivedBy;

conDerivedBy
For simple types, the derivedBy value can be one of the following:

SCHEMADERIVATIONMETHOD_RESTRICTION

SCHEMADERIVATIONMETHOD_LIST

SCHEMADERIVATIONMETHOD_UNION

For complex types, the derivedBy value can be one of the following:

SCHEMADERIVATIONMETHOD_EXTENSION

SCHEMADERIVATIONMETHOD_RESTRICTION

For any-type the derivedBy value is always as follows:

SCHEMADERIVATIONMETHOD_EMPTY
