More and more mobile devices such as laptops, netbooks, tablets and phones, are used. Integrating Power Management inside application is a vital step in providing a solid end user experience. This reduce energy consumption (reduce cost of IT) but, more important, extend battery life.
This session will present how to integrate the Power Management Events inside your applications, and explain good practices beyond those events.

Speakers: Christophe Peerens and Benoit Huon

System developer since September 1994, Christophe Peerens work as a trainer and consultant for Neomytic. He specialize himself in a wide variety of technical developments. Christophe likes to develop OS systems components, Hardware interfacing, services, device drivers ... on Microsoft Windows OS.

In 1992 Benoit Huon founded EZOS s.a./n.v, a company specialized in Microsoft technologies. During 15 years he works and manages development teams in various projects, including Windows device driver, embedded system, mobile technology, C/C++ and .NET projects.
Benoit combines his interest to sustainable environment and his more than 20 years’ experience in development to fund in 2008 Ophiteo s.a./n.v, a company specialized in Green IT. Benoit is consultant, trainer and coach specialized in code optimization and energy efficiency of software development.
