Postinstallation Notes for Windows Vista

These release notes address late-breaking issues and information about this release of the Microsoft® Windows Vista® operating system. Unless otherwise specified, these notes apply to all versions and editions of Windows Vista.

Terminal Services

The Windows Vista Help topic "How can I use my Plug and Play device in a Remote Desktop session" states that, while in a Remote Desktop session, you can redirect devices running Windows Embedded for Point of Service by using Microsoft POS for .NET 1.1.

Attempts to redirect devices to computers running Windows Vista in this way will fail. However, you can redirect devices running Windows Embedded for Point of Service to computers running the Microsoft Windows Server® 2008 operating system using this method.
