Set-BCSecretKey
Set-BCSecretKey
Sets the cryptographic key used in the generation of segment secrets.
Syntax
Parameter Set: Set_BCSecretKey18
Set-BCSecretKey [[-Passphrase] <String> ] [-AsJob] [-CimSession <CimSession> ] [-Force] [-ThrottleLimit <Int32> ] [-Confirm] [-WhatIf] [ <CommonParameters>]
Detailed Description
The Set-BCSecretKey cmdlet sets the cryptographic key used in the generation of segment secrets. Use this cmdlet when deploying BranchCache-enabled content servers in a cluster or behind a network load balancer. If a file or webpage exists on multiple content servers, then each server must use the same secret key; otherwise, each copy of the file will be cached separately within the branch office.

-Passphrase<String>
Specifies the pass phrase to use in the computation of the server secret key. Run this cmdlet on each server in a cluster using the same passphrase to ensure a common segment secret is used.

-ThrottleLimit<Int32>
Specifies the maximum number of concurrent operations that can be established to run the cmdlet. If this parameter is omitted or a value of 0
is entered, then Windows PowerShell® calculates an optimum throttle limit for the cmdlet based on the number of CIM cmdlets that are running on the computer. The throttle limit applies only to the current cmdlet, not to the session or to the computer.
