Use this form to set up fixed asset parameters.

Description

General

Set up the parameters for fixed assets.

Tax reporting

Set up the sales tax codes and the level of compression for fixed asset tax transactions. Manage tax reporting information for assessed tax, transport tax, and land tax.

Document

Specify the location in which to save the documents that are generated for fixed assets.

Financial dimensions

Set up the financial dimensions that are used for fixed asset transactions.

Document types

Set up the number sequence for documents that are generated for fixed assets.

Number sequences

Set up the number sequence for fixed asset references.

Field

Description

Base value model

Select a base value model.

Tax value model

Select a value model that is used for tax functions.

Minimal depreciation

Enter the minimum amount of depreciation that is used to calculate depreciation by using the Reducing remainder method.

Allow multiple putting into operation

Select this check box to enable multiple fixed asset acquisitions. You can register changes in the cost of the asset over time by enabling multiple fixed asset acquisitions.

Require reasons for asset changes

Select this check box to indicate that a reason must be entered for changes in depreciation.

Required

A list of reason code requirements that are moved from the Not required list.

Not required

A list of reason code requirements.

Autonumeration FA

Select this check box to activate automatic numbering for all fixed assets.

Barcode equals FA number

Select this check box to automatically assign bar codes for fixed asset numbers.

Nota

If this check box is selected, a bar code number that is the same as the fixed asset number is generated and displayed in the Fixed assets form.

Barcodes autonumeration

Select this check box to automatically number bar codes with a number series.

Nota

This field is available only if the Barcode equals FA number check box is not selected.

Round-off

Enter the value by which transaction amounts are rounded for accounting purposes.

Posting profile

Select the posting profile that is used by default if no posting profile is specified for the value model.

Language

Select a language for the fixed asset documents.

Reservation

Select a method of inventory reservation from the following options:

  • Manual – The inventory for orders is reserved manually.

  • Automatic – The inventory is reserved when order lines are created, in the order in which the order lines are created. For bills of materials (BOMs), reservations are made for the BOM item number, not for the individual elements of the BOM.

  • Explosion – The inventory is reserved when order lines are created, in the order in which the order lines are created. For BOMs, reservations are made for the individual elements of the BOM, not for the BOM item number.

Max cost of the NVFA

Enter the maximum cost of the not valuable fixed asset (NVFA).

NVFA inventory profile

Select an inventory profile for the NVFA.

Analysis code

Select an analysis code.

Sales tax code 
(In the Assessed tax field group)

Select a sales tax code to process the assessed tax.

Compression 
(In the Assessed tax field group)

Select how the assessed tax transactions are created, from the following options:

  • Tax – When you create a fixed asset tax journal in the ledger, transaction lines are created for each tax code in the journal.

  • Total – When you generate transactions in the fixed asset tax journal in the ledger, all of the transaction amounts are added, and a single transaction line with the total amount is created.

Date of including in the tax base

Select the type of date to use to enter the fixed asset in the assessed register tax base, from the following options:

  • Putting into operation date – The date when a fixed asset is placed into operation.

  • Date of the registration – The registration date or purchase date for a fixed asset.

Sales tax code 
(In the Transport tax field group)

Select a sales tax code to process the transport tax.

Compression 
(In the Transport tax field group)

Select how the transport tax transactions are created, from the following options:

  • Tax – When you create a fixed asset tax journal in the ledger, transaction lines are created for each tax code in the journal.

  • Total – When you generate transactions in the fixed asset tax journal in the ledger, all of the transaction amounts are added, and a single transaction line with the total amount is created.

Sales tax code 
(In the Land tax field group)

Select a sales tax code to process the land tax.

Compression 
(In the Land tax field group)

Select how the land tax transactions are created, from the following options:

  • Tax – When you create a fixed asset tax journal in the ledger, transaction lines are created for each tax code in the journal.

  • Total – When you generate transactions in the fixed asset tax journal in the ledger, all of the transaction amounts are added, and a single transaction line with the total amount is created.

Document location

Select the folder where the fixed asset documents are saved.

Type

The document types that are available for fixed asset documents.

Number sequence code

Select a number sequence code for each document type.

Reference

The fixed asset references.

Number sequence code

Select a number sequence code for each reference type.
