A : It is there. You can activate it with trace -T1400. Not supported yet unless memeber of TAP program. Will be there in H1 Y06

A : No. The previous tool was removed from RTM version and a new "light" version of SS Management Studio will be there in H1'06.

A : Technically speaking VS is the tool used to designe BI projects. But you don't need to buy it only for BI : you will get with a subset of VS with the BI.

A : No. You have the choice to update in place your instance(s) or to create a new one and migratre data from 2000 to 2005 . Upgrade Advisor is there for free on the distrib \server\redist to help you : it's definitely a GREAT tool !
