Manage a remote IAS server

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To manage a remote IAS server

  1. Click Start, click Run, type MMC, and then click OK.

  2. In the MMC console, click File, click Add/Remove Snap-in, and then click Add.

  3. Click Internet Authentication Service (IAS), and then click Add.

  4. Select the computer for which you want to manage IAS:

    To Do this

    Manage IAS on the computer on which this console is running

    Click Local computer (the one this console is running on).

    Manage IAS on a remote computer

    Click Another computer, and then type the name or IP address of the remote IAS server.

  5. Click Finish, click Close, and then click OK.

Note

  • You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group in order to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings might also prevent you from completing this procedure.
