About IAG certified client endpoints

Applies To: Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG)

A Whale Communication Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007certified client endpoint is a client endpoint that has been certified by the organization by using a client certificate. You can create client endpoint policies whereby users can only access a site or an application if their computer is a certified endpoint. The certified endpoint feature is only supported on HTTPS trunks.

Deploying certified client endpoints relies on a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) requiring digital certificates and a certification authority (CA). In order to register a client endpoint as certified, end-users need to install a unique client certificate on the client endpoint. To provide users with the required certificate, you can use a CA installed on a remote computer (any computer other than the IAG server), or for portals only, you can configure a CA running locally on the IAG server.
