Opalis Integration Server is a product designed to automate data center operations. The rights that are assigned to users running the management server service and action server service must have privileges to carry out administrative actions. This section describes the rights that must be assigned to the user running these applications. The management server and action server run as DCOM services. By default, members of the Administrators group on the computer where those services are running will automatically have DCOM privileges. However, if you have a non-default DCOM configuration or are experiencing problems with communication between the management server, action server, and client then you may need to configure these additional privileges.

Management Server Account

  • Part of the Administrator group on the management server computer

  • Part of the Administrator group on all action server computers

  • Part of database users group on the datastore computer

Action Server Account

  • Part of the Administrator group on the action server computer

  • Part of database users group on the datastore computer

  • Depending on the objects that you are running in your policies, you may require additional rights on remote computers to carry out the action of the object.

Database Permission

Installing or upgrading the SQL Server database requires the following permission:

  • SQL Server – Owner
