SYNOPSIS

Stops an application pool.

SYNTAX

Stop-WebAppPool [[-Name] <String>] [-Passthru] [<CommonParameters>]

DESCRIPTION

The Stop-WebAppPool cmdlet stops the specified application pool.

EXAMPLES

Example 1: Stop an application pool

IIS:\> Stop-WebAppPool -Name "DefaultAppPool"

This command stops the application pool named DefaultAppPool.
