Compute Cluster Server Setup Command-Line Interface Reference

Applies To: Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003

The following commands are issued at the command line to install a head node or compute node, or to install the client utilities.

Setup

Setup.exe [-client] [-headnode] [-computenode: <clustername>] [-unattend] /?

Parameter Description

-client

Installs the client utilities (Job Scheduler API, Compute Cluster Administrator, and Compute Cluster Job Manager) on a client that will be used for remote administration of a cluster.

-headnode

Installs the services required for a computer to become a head node. The name of the head node becomes the name of the cluster.

-computenode: clustername

Installs the services required for a computer to become a compute node and a member of an existing cluster.

-unattend

Specifies an unattended installation. In this case, the Setup program uses the Unattended Installation feature of Remote Installation Services (RIS).
