Common tasks in the Add or Edit Resource Allocation page

Choose a process matching criterion |
On the General tab, select a process matching criterion from the drop-down list. |
Configure a CPU allocation |
On the General tab, use the up and down arrows or type a number for the CPU allocation percentage. For more information about CPU allocations, see Understanding Processor Management in Windows System Resource Manager. |
Configure a memory allocation |
On the Memory tab, select either Use maximum committed memory for each process or Use maximum working set limit for each process, and type a number for the limit (in MB). For more information about memory allocations, see Understanding Memory Management in Windows System Resource Manager. |
Configure processor affinity |
On the Advanced tab, click to select Use specified processors, and then type the number or range of processor numbers in the text box. For more information about processor affinity, see Understanding Processor Management in Windows System Resource Manager. |
Sub-allocate resources |
On the Advanced tab, select Standard from the Management Rule drop-down list, and then click Sub-allocate resources. For more information about sub-allocation, see Sub-Allocate Resources. |
