Timeouts Reference

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 with SP1

Internet Information Services (IIS) has several time-out values that are set by default when you install a member of the Microsoft Windows Server-TM- 2003 family of operating systems. Time-out values allow the server to specify how long server resources are allocated to specific tasks or clients.

Time-out settings are configurable from IIS Manager as well. For more information about setting the various time-out values, see Setting Connection Timeouts.

The following table lists the time-out values in IIS and where you can set them.
