Resource groups (operations resources)(form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Organization administration > Common > Resources > Resource groups.

Use this form to create resource groups. Use the groups to organize and manage resources for production.

When you assign an operations resource to a resource group this enables the resource to be scheduled at the site where the resource group is located. The resource group defines the site, production unit and warehouse context for resources that are assigned to the group. Therefore, resource groups typically represent the physical locations of resources on the production shop floor.

You can reassign resources to another resource group on the Resources tab.

Note

A resource can only be assigned to one resource group. You can change individual resources at any time. These changes do not affect the attributes of the resource group.
