The Microsoft® Web Sites and Services Management Pack (MP) provides specialized and highly-customizable rules for monitoring Web applications and XML Web Services.  To deploy and operate the Web Sites and Services MP, it is recommended that you possess a working knowledge of the following:

  • MOM 2005 monitoring features.

  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).

  • HTTP protocol.

  • Web browsers.

  • XML Web Services and related standards, such as the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Universal Description Discovery and Integration (UDDI), and Web Services Description Language (WSDL).
