On-account forecasts (form)

Click Project management and accounting > Inquiries > Forecasts > On-account.

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects. Select or open a project. On the Action Pane, on the Plan tab, in the Forecast group, click On-account forecasts.

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > Project contracts. Select or open a project contract. On the Action Pane, on the Plan tab, in the Forecast group, click On-account forecast.

Use this form to enter on-account transactions that you anticipate for a project. Information about on-account transactions that are entered in this form is used for general budgeting purposes. You can also use this form to copy a forecast transaction line and transfer the line to an on-account transaction.

Fields

Forecast model

Select a forecast model.

Project date

Select a project transaction date.

Project ID

Select the ID of the project that you want to associate the forecast transaction with.

Description

Type a description of the transaction.

Sales currency

Select the currency in which to invoice the transaction.

Sales price

The sales price per unit for the forecast transaction. This amount is calculated automatically based on the price per unit in selected exchange currency, but you can modify this amount.

Budget type

The type of budget information that this forecast holds:

  • Original - The forecast holds the budget amount that was first committed.

  • Remaining - The forecast holds the budget amount that is remaining. This amount is reduced by transactions and increased or decreased by budget revisions.

  • Revision – The forecast holds the amounts by which a remaining budget was changed.

  • None – The forecast is not used for budget control.

Funding source

The funding source from which funds are allotted to pay for this transaction.

Transaction ID

The ID that identifies this transaction.

Exchange rate

The exchange rate for the currency selected in the Sales currency field. This rate may be provided automatically by Microsoft Dynamics AX, but you can edit the rate if necessary.

Invoice date

Select the expected date for the invoice.

Elimination date

Select the expected elimination date.

Sales payment date

Select the expected payment date of the revenue.

Financial dimensions

The default financial dimensions for the main account. When you select a financial dimension value, the Where the %1 dimension is used field group displays where the dimension is used in account structures and advanced rule structures.

Where the %1 dimension is used

The account structures and advanced rule structures that use the financial dimensions that you selected in the Financial dimensions or Default financial dimensions field group.

Note

The name of the field depends on the selection in the Financial dimensions or Default financial dimensions field group.
