Worker distribution statistics (form)

Click Human resources > Inquiries > Workers > Worker distribution statistics.

Use this form to generate statistics about the distribution of workers per department, job, worker type, age, and gender.

To include or remove a category in the statistics results, double-click the category name in the Groupings lists. You can use the Up and Down buttons to control the order that the columns are displayed.

The results are displayed in the columns on the Totals tab. Each column represents a category that you selected from the Groupings list.

You can also click the Graphics tab to view the results that are shown in a graph.

Comparing distributions

You can compare the distribution of workers between two dates. For example, you can compare the worker distribution by department today with the worker distribution a year ago. To do this, complete the following procedure.

  1. Enter today's date in the As of field.

  2. Select the History check box.

  3. Enter last year's date in the History date field.

  4. Select a category from the Groupings list to display the results for, and then click Update.

On the Totals tab, the number of workers currently in the grouping that you selected is displayed in the Current FTE column. The number of workers who were in the grouping on the date that you entered in the History date field is displayed in History FTE column.

Open an inquiry form where you can specify the search criteria to limit or expand the number of workers to show statistics for.

Up

Move a category up one level in the selected Groupings list. The order that the categories are listed in the selected Groupings list determines the order in which the categories are displayed as columns in the grid.

Down

Move a category down one level. The order that the categories are listed in the selected Groupings list determines the order in which the categories are displayed as columns in the grid.

History

Select this check box to compare distribution results for two dates.

History date

Select the date to compare results for.

Groupings

Select this check box to group the results by the Date and History criteria.

Age

Enter the age interval to group results by if you selected to display results for the Age category.

Unknown

This column is a placeholder for a category that you have not selected, yet. Each category that you select in the Groupings list will replace one Unknown column after you click Update.

Current FTE

The total number of workers for the categories that you selected as of the date that you entered in the As of field.

History FTE

The total number of workers for the categories that you selected as of the date that you entered in the History date field.

Percent

The percentage difference between the Current FTE field value and the History FTE field value.
