Document handling node (form)

Click Product information management > Common > Product builder > Product models. Select a product model. On the Action Pane, click Open. On the Tree tab, in the Modeling tree, right-click a BOM node or a route node. Click New > Document handling.

This information applies only to Product builder.
Use this form to attach documents, files, or notes to BOM nodes and route nodes. Use the Allocation of section at the top of the form to indicate whether the value of the current field should be determined by a variable or by a value.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Type |
Select the type of the document that is being inserted if you clicked Value in the Allocation of section. Note Document types are created and managed in the Document types form. |

Select a modeling variable or another product model variable if you clicked Variable in the Allocation of section. The variable that you select must be type-compatible with the field into which it is entered. The value of this variable will be assigned to the current field. |
