Clean up log (class form)

Click System administration > Inquiries > Database > Database log. Click Clean up log.

Use this form to permanently delete information about Insert, Update, Delete, and RenameKey operations from the database log.

Note

To enable auditing, records that have been signed will not be deleted from the database log. For more information, see Electronic signature overview.

Open the Select log cleanup criteria form, a version of the Inquiry form, in which you can select the criteria that are used to select rows for cleanup. For more information, see Inquiry (form).

Reference table ID

The identifier of the table that you want to log changes to.

Log type

The types of changes to the specified table or field that you want to remove from the log file. The following types of changes can be removed:

  • Insert

  • Update

  • Delete

  • RenameKey – RenameKey operations are changes that are made to tables because of a change to a field that is referred to in a primary key relationship or a foreign key relationship.

Created date time

The date and time when the record was created.
