Change fixed asset group (form)

Click Fixed assets > Common > Fixed assets > Fixed assets. Select a fixed asset. On the Action Pane, click Change fixed asset group.
Use this form to change the fixed assets group or fixed asset number of the selected fixed asset.
The fixed asset should be assigned to the correct fixed assets group. The fixed assets group is used when you complete the following tasks:
Create inquiries and reports
Set up new fixed assets
Integrate ledgers and post fixed asset transactions to appropriate ledger accounts
Example
To transfer a fixed asset to another department, you must change the fixed asset group. You change the fixed asset car group from CARM (Company cars–management) to CARS (Company cars–sales department).

New fixed asset number |
Select this check box to assign a fixed asset number to the selected fixed asset. |
Fixed asset number |
The new fixed asset number for the selected fixed asset. The field is available if you selected the New fixed asset number check box. If automatic numbering is set up for fixed assets, this field shows the next available fixed asset number. You can change the number. If manual numbering is set up, this field is blank and you must enter the new fixed asset number. |
