Default route (form)

Click Product information management > Setup > Product builder > Defaults > Default routes.

Use this form to create and approve default routes, which you can use when you build the modeling tree. The purpose of default routes is to make it possible to build route structures that can be used as templates for product model routes.

This information applies only to Product builder.

The route approval procedure is similar to the functions that correspond to standards that relate to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 routes and standard Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 bills of materials. (BOMs)

We recommend that you do not use this form, because it is being officially deprecated and may be removed, and may not be available in future versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Create a default route

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Add operations to the route and set up their sequence.

Approve

Approve the selected route.

Fields

Description

Route number

Type the route number. It can be automatically assigned when a new default route is created.

If this number sequence exists, and if it has not been set to manual assignment, the number is assigned automatically.

Name

Type the name of the route that will be shown as the default route.

Approved by

View the name of the worker who approved the route.

Approved

Indicates whether the default route is approved. After you click Approve, the Approved check box is selected.
