Global rules (form)

Click Product information management > Setup > Product builder > Global rules.
Use this form to create global validation rules. You use the upper part of the form to create, approve, and activate rules. You set up the rule in the Validation form, which you open by clicking Validation. You use the lower part of the form to select the Product models to which the rules apply.

Rule set number |
Type a unique number for the rule set. |

Type a brief description of the rule. |
Sequence |
Select the global priority of the rule. The rule set that has a priority of 1 is run first, the rule set that has a priority of 2 is run second, and so on. The following sort order is used for the rules:

Approved by |
The alias of the worker who approved this version of the rule set. You cannot change the value in this field. You select the worker in the form that you open by clicking Approve. |
Approved |
A selected check box indicates that the rule set is approved. You cannot change the value in this field. To approve this version of the rule set, click Approve. |
Product model number |
Select the identifier of the product model. |
From date |
The first date that the rule set number is valid. |
To date |
The last date that the rule set number is valid. |
Active |
A selected check box indicates whether this version of the rule clause is active. |
Approved by |
The alias of the worker who approved this version of the rule set. You cannot change the value in this field. You select the worker in the form that you open by clicking Approve. |
Approved |
A selected check box indicates whether the rule set is approved. You cannot change the value in this field. To approve this version of the rule set, click Approve. |
