Adjustments (form)

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects. On the Action Pane, on the Manage tab, in the Process group, click Adjustments.

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > Project contracts. On the Action Pane, on the Maintain tab, in the Process group, click New adjustment.

Use this form to adjust project transactions.

You can adjust one transaction as a whole on one adjustment line, or you can change a part of the transaction by dividing it into multiple lines.

Overview

Displays a list of transactions that can be adjusted, based on the parameters that are set in the Create adjustment transactions form.

Click the Select button to open the Create adjustment transactions form.

General

View details about the selected transaction line.

Cost

View details that are related to the cost price of the selected transaction.

Sales

View details that are related to the sales price of the selected transaction.

Financial dimensions

View the dimensions of the transaction line.

Overview

After you select a transaction for adjustment in the upper tabs, view and change the lines that you have created for adjustment entries.

General

View or change details on the selected adjustment line.

Cost

View details that are related to the cost price of the selected adjustment line.

Sales

View details that are related to the sales price of the selected adjustment line.

Financial dimensions

View information about financial dimensions, such as the default dimensions and where the dimensions are used in account structures and advanced rule structures.

Select

Open the Create adjustment transactions dialog box, where you define the transactions that you want to adjust.

Adjust

Open the Adjust transactions form after you select the transactions that you want to adjust. Specify whether to adjust the transaction line as a whole or to split it into multiple lines.

Check

Run an automated check to make sure that there are no problems with the adjusted line.

Post

Post the adjusted line.

Description

Update

Update any values in the transaction line that changed after the transaction line was adjusted.

When a parameter in a transaction line has been adjusted, any other parameter in the line that is affected by the adjustment is updated. Click Update to view the updated parameters. For example, if you change the category on a transaction line and then click Update, the sales price is updated.

Note

You may have changed some of the default values of a transaction line when you entered a transaction. For most fields, these values will be changed back to their default values when the transaction line is updated.

The values that will retain the changes you make are the cost and sales prices, the currency, and the line property.

Fields

Description

Project date

The date that the transaction was posted to a ledger account. This date can be changed by using a transaction adjustment.

Project ID

The project to which the transaction was posted.

Category

The category that is referenced by the adjustment transaction.

Activity number

The activity of the current transaction.

Item

The ID of the item that is associated with this transaction.

Worker

The ID of the worker that is associated with this transaction.

Adjustment date

View or change the date on which the adjusted transaction will be posted to a ledger account. The current date is the default.

Quantity

The number of units that make up the transaction. For adjustment lines, the quantity is divided evenly between the requested adjustment lines, and any remainders are added to the last line.

Cost price

The cost price per transaction unit.

Sales currency

The currency that will be used when the transaction is invoiced.

Sales price

The sales price per transaction unit.

Line property

The individual attribute of the posted transaction, such as chargeable or nonchargeable, and efficient or nonefficient.

Transaction type

The transaction type. For example, hour, expense, or item.

Transaction ID

The identification number for the transaction.

Transaction voucher

The voucher number for the transaction.

Description

Text describing the transaction.

Transaction origin

The activity in Microsoft Dynamics AX that created the transaction.

Sales tax group

The sales tax group that is attached to the current transaction line.

Item sales tax group

The item sales tax group that is associated with this transaction. An item sales tax group is a set of codes that are used to calculate tax for items.

Start time

The starting time that was entered for a timesheet.

End time

The ending time that was entered for a timesheet.

Funding source name

The name of the funding source that is associated with a transaction.

Ledger status

The current placement of the transaction in the ledger, such as unspotted, balance sheet, or profit & loss.

Accrued revenue

Indicates whether the sales value of the transaction has been posted.

Accrued amount

The sales transaction amount expressed in the standard accounting currency.

Transaction status

The current status of the selected transaction.

Department

The project dimension of “Department” that is attached to the current transaction line.

Cost center

The particular project Cost dimension that is attached to the current transaction line.

Purpose

The particular project Purpose that is attached to the current transaction line.
