Change project group (class form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects. On the Action Pane, on the Project tab, in the Set up group, click Project group.
Use this form to select a different project group for your project. You can either decide a project group for another type of project, which will change the project type, or you can decide a project group that covers the same type of projects as the original project group.
If you change a project group for a project, the posting setup of the project changes.
Tip
If you change from an investment or internal project type that has no attached invoice project, you must enter an invoice project for the new project group.

Displays the current group for the selected project. |
Change to group |
Select the new group for the project that you want to change. |
Change subproject |
Select the check box for all subprojects within the same project group to be changed. |
Estimate project ID |
Displays the ID of the estimate group that is attached to the project selected. |
Project ID |
Displays the number that is identified with the project selected for a group change. |
Note
If a project is attached to an estimate project, the project group must be changed for the estimate projects and all attached projects.
