XBRL taxonomy (form)

Click General ledger > Setup > Posting > XBRL taxonomy.

Use this form to import eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) taxonomies from external files or to add schema or linkbase files to taxonomies that have already been imported.

Note

This topic includes information about features that were added or changed for cumulative update 6 or later for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2. This information also applies to AX 2012 R3.

To print financial statements, you can use Management Reporter, or you can use the traditional financial statements that are included with Microsoft Dynamics AX. For more information about how to print financial statements using Management Reporter, see the Management Reporter User Guide.

This form is available only when the Financial statement (traditional) configuration key is selected.

Import XBRL taxonomy

Open the Import XBRL taxonomy form, where you can enter or select the schema file name to import.

Import schema file

Open the Import schema file form, where you can enter or select the additional schema file name to import.

Import linkbase file

Open the Import linkbase file form, where you can enter or select the additional linkbase file name to import.

Details

Open the Taxonomy details form, where you can view information about the taxonomy elements and change them.

Description

Taxonomy ID

The unique identifier for the taxonomy that is imported.

Description

The description of the taxonomy that is imported.

File name (in the upper pane)

The name of the schema file, which is the main file of the taxonomy.

Schema location

The location that the taxonomy has been imported from. The original Internet address of the taxonomy must be included. This address is displayed in XBRL instance documents. If appropriate taxonomies are sent with the instance documents, this field can be left blank.

File name (in the lower pane)

The file name of the schema or linkbase file that is selected.

Location

The folder name that the file was imported from. All referenced files are imported with the taxonomy file. If any file cannot be found, an algorithm searches for the file.
