Tip

Apart from opening this form from the Shipment and Receive forms, you can open it from many other places in Microsoft Dynamics AX. You can, for example, open it from an inventory journal, a purchase order line, or a sales order line.

The upper half of the form displays the quantity from the current reference. If the form is started from a sales order line, the form lists the inventory transactions grouped according to the dimensions, which are part of the financial inventory.

Note

If the dimensions are not part of the financial inventory, only one summarized transaction is displayed. The lower half of the form shows available lots that can be used for marking.

Example

Suppose that a sales order line that has two inventory transactions. The first transaction reserves 25 pieces from warehouse A, and the second reserves 75 pieces from warehouse B. If the warehouse dimension is not included in the financial inventory, only one transaction with the total quantity 100 is displayed in the upper half of the form. However, if the warehouse dimension is included in the financial inventory, two transactions is displayed; one with the quantity 25 and one with the quantity 75.

The lower half of the form displays available lots that can be used for marking. Again, if the warehouse dimension is not included in the financial inventory, available lots from all warehouses will be shown. If the warehouse dimension is included in the financial inventory, only lots from the same warehouse as the selected transactions in the upper half of the form are displayed.

Note

You can only mark open transactions that will be shown in this form. If the transactions have been closed by closing or adjusting the inventory, they are not displayed in this form. Use the Settlement form to view how items have been marked.
