Symptom areas (form)

Click Service management > Setup > Repair > Symptom areas.
Use this form to create the symptom area codes that are used in repair lines for service objects. Symptom areas are used to group symptom codes and to list areas of malfunction based on customers' descriptions of problems.
Example
A customer brings an automobile to your repair shop and reports the following issues, which you list as symptom areas:
When the brakes are applied, the car makes a noise and the steering wheel shakes. You add Brakes as a symptom area.
The car shakes while turning corners. You add Steering problems as a symptom area.
