Item coverage journal lines (form)

Click Master planning > Journals > Safety stock. Select a journal, and then click Lines.
Use this form to create and update minimum inventory journal lines.

Navigating the form
The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Open the Dimensions display form, where you can select which dimensions you want to appear in the form. |

Open a menu that contains the following items:

Item number |
The unique identifier of the item. |
Product name |
The name of the product. |
Configuration |
Select an item configuration to specify an item with specific attributes. |
Site |
Enter the site where you want to store the items. |
Warehouse |
Enter the warehouse where you want to store the items. |
Minimum |
The minimum on-hand inventory for the item, in inventory units. The quantity is the minimum number of items that must be in the physical inventory, or safety stock. Either planned purchase orders or planned production orders are generated when the minimum on-hand inventory is reached. |
Proposal |
The proposal for minimum on-hand inventory generated from the Calculate proposal for minimum inventory level dialog box. |
New minimum |
The new minimum on-hand inventory level for the item. You can enter values in this field manually, or you can automatically transfer the calculated proposal value by selecting the Proposal = new minimum check box in the Calculate proposal for minimum inventory level dialog box. |
Journal |
The identifier of the journal. |
Line number |
The identifier of the line. |
Date |
Enter a date to delimit the transactions included in the proposal. |
Dimension No. |
The identifiers of dimensions for the item. |
Cost price |
The cost price per unit. |
Current inventory value |
The inventory value of the current minimum inventory level. |
New inventory value |
The inventory value of the new minimum inventory level. |
Increase |
The increase in inventory value if the new minimum is used. |
Avg. issues per month |
The average issue quantity per month. |
Monthly std. deviation |
The standard deviation of issues per month. |
Planned order type |
The current planned order when cash flow forecasting. |
Lead time |
The lead time, in days. |
Working days |
If this check box is selected, days are specified according to a workday calendar. |
Avg. issue per lead time |
The estimated average quantity issued during the lead time. |
Batch number |
Enter the batch number dimension. If you select Edit lines and Explode lines in the upper section of the Shipment / Receive form, you can modify the batch number for the transfer order line. |
Location |
The location inside a warehouse. If you select Edit lines and Explode lines in the upper section of the Shipment / Receive form, you can edit the location number for the transfer order line. |
Pallet ID |
The unique identifier of the pallet. |
Serial number |
The serial number dimension. If you select Edit lines and Explode lines in the upper section of the Shipment / Receive form, you can change the serial number for the transfer order line. |
