Select an aging period definition and a date principle (class form)

Click Accounts receivable > Common > Customers > All customers. On the Action Pane, click Balance. Click Aging periods, and then click Selection.

Click Accounts payable > Common > Vendors > All vendors. On the Action Pane, click Balance. Click Aging period definitions, and then click Selection.

Use this form to select an aging period definition and a date principle as the basis for generating lines in the Aging period definition statistics form for the selected customer or vendor.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Aging period definition

Select an aging period definition. For each aging period in the aging period definition, a line is displayed in the Aging period definition statistics form.

Date principle

Select the type of date to consider when transaction amounts are assigned to the aging periods that are displayed in the Aging period definition statistics form:

  • Transaction date – The posting date of the transactions. For example, this might be an invoice date that is the basis for the calculation of the due date.

  • Due date – The due date of the transactions, based on the terms of payment.

  • Document date – A user-defined document date that is the basis for the calculation of the due date.
