Variable group hierarchy (form)

Click Product information management > Common > Product builder > Product models. Select a product model line, and then click Open to open the Product model form. Click Grouping to open the Variable group form.

Use this form to create a hierarchy of modeling variable groups.

This information applies only to Product builder.

Create the hierarchy of the variable groups by using the Up and Down buttons.

Navigate up

Move to a higher level in the variable group hierarchy.

When you click the Up or Down button, you move to another group level. This means that, on the Overview tab, you will see only groups that belong to the current level. If there are no groups on the current level, the Overview tab will be empty.

Navigate down

Move to the sublevel of the selected variable group.

When you click the Up or Down button, you move to another group level. This means that, on the Overview tab, you will see only groups that belong to the current level. If there are no groups on the current level, the Overview tab will be empty.

Description

Variable group

Type the unique identifier of the variable group.

Description

Type a short description of the variable group.

Array

Specify whether the field group should present its variables as an array, in which each variable is shown as a column with several rows.

If the field group is an array group, the number of array elements (rows) must be specified in the Max. field.

Max.

Specify the number of array elements (rows) if the current variable group is an array. This option can be selected by using the Array check box.

The variables for the group are then presented in a table structure, where each variable is shown as a column with the specified number of rows.
