Click Fixed assets > Journals > Fixed assets. Click Lines, and then click Proposals > Revenue recognition of reserves.

–or–

Click Fixed assets > Journals > Depreciation book journal. Click Lines, and then click Proposals > Revenue recognition of reserves.

Use this form to create proposed journal lines for recognizing revenue and dissolving reserves that were created when fixed assets were sold for a profit.

Journal lines are created in the following ways:

  • For reserves that have not expired, a journal line with no value in the Account field is suggested. In this field, you select the number of the new fixed asset that will absorb the reserve. The value of this new asset, and the basis for future depreciation, is reduced by the amount of the reserve.

  • For reserves that have expired, according to the provision type entered in the Value models form, the information from the Account for revenue recognition of untransferred reserves field in the General ledger parameters form is displayed in the Account field.

The proposed lines display the posting date that you entered and correspond to the criteria that you entered in the query.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.
