Transport (form)

Click Inventory management > Setup > Distribution > Transport.
Use this form to view or enter details about the method of transportation, the shipping and receiving point, and the number of days it takes using the various forms of transportation.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Fields

Type |
This field is for information only and is set to Warehouse. Therefore, only transportation that was shipped from a warehouse will be displayed. |
Warehouse |
Choose the warehouse that is used as the shipping point. Only transports from this warehouse are displayed in the grid. Blank means transportation is from all warehouses. You can create or edit warehouses using the Warehouses form. |
Type |
Choose whether the receiving point is a warehouse or an address. Only transports from your choice will be displayed in the grid. |
Warehouse |
Choose which warehouse is the receiving point (only relevant when Warehouse is selected under Type). Only transports to this warehouse are displayed in the grid. Blank means transport to all warehouses. You can create or edit warehouses using the Warehouses form. |
Country/region |
Choose the country/region of the receiving point (only relevant when Address is selected in the Type list). Only transports to this country/region should be displayed in the grid. Blank means all countries/regions are relevant. The country/region will be chosen automatically if a postal code is chosen specifying the country/region. |
County |
Choose the region for the receiving point (US = county) (only relevant when Address is selected in the Type list). Only transports to this county should be displayed in the grid. Blank means all counties are relevant. The county will be chosen automatically if a postal code is chosen specifying the county. |
ZIP/postal code |
Choose the postal code for the receiving point (only relevant when Address is selected in the Type list). This automatically sets the Country/region, State or province and County fields. Only transports to this post code should be displayed in the grid. Blank means all post codes are relevant. |
Shipping warehouse |
View or select the warehouse that is used as the shipping point for this transport. You can create or edit warehouses in the Warehouses form. |
Country/region |
View or choose the country/region of the receiving point for this transport. This is relevant when Address is selected in the Type list.The country/region will be chosen automatically if a postal code is chosen specifying the country/region. |
State |
View or select the state of the receiving point for this transport (only relevant when Address is selected in the Type list). The state will be chosen automatically if a postal code is chosen specifying the state. |
County |
View or choose the region (US = county) of the receiving point for this transport (only relevant when Address is selected in the Type list). The county will be chosen automatically if a postal code is chosen specifying the county. |
ZIP/postal code |
View or select the postal code of the receiving point for this transport (only relevant when Address is selected in the Type list). Choosing a postal code automatically sets the Country/region, State or province and County fields. |
Receiving warehouse |
View or select the ID of the receiving point warehouse for this transport (only relevant when Warehouse is selected in the Type list). You can create or edit warehouses in the Warehouses form. |
City |
View or enter the city of the receiving point for this transport (only relevant Address is selected in the Type list). The city will be chosen automatically if a postal code is chosen specifying the city. |
Mode of delivery |
View or select the means of transport. You can create or modify the means of transport in the Modes of delivery form. |
Description |
View a description of the mode of delivery. You can create or modify the description in the Modes of delivery form. |
Transport days |
View or enter the number of days between shipping point and receiving point. |
Default |
Select the check box if you want this to be the default mode of delivery. |
