Intercompany accounting (form)

Click General ledger > Setup > Posting > Intercompany accounting.

Use this form to specify the company accounts that the current legal entity can post to. You must set up debit and credit accounts, and also set up the journal that receives the transactions in the other legal entity.

You must create the list of company accounts in both legal entities that have the intercompany relationship.

Note

If this information is not set up correctly, you will not be able to validate or post the journal.

Centralized payments

Set up posting options for use with payments that are entered in the current legal entity and that settle one or more invoices in different legal entities.

Company accounts

Select the set of intercompany accounts.

Name

The name of the intercompany accounts.

Credit account

Enter the ledger account for the company accounts that contain the intercompany credit transactions.

Debit account

Enter the ledger account for the company accounts that contain the intercompany debit transactions.

Journal

Select the name of the journal in the company that transactions are transferred to.

Post cash discount

Select the legal entity to post cash discounts to when you receive customer payments in one legal entity and settle them with invoices in another legal entity.

Post currency exchange gain or loss

Select the legal entity to post currency exchange gain or loss amounts to when you receive customer payments in one legal entity and settle them with invoices in another legal entity.

Post cash discount

Select the legal entity to post cash discounts to when you enter vendor payments in one legal entity and settle them with invoices in another legal entity.

Post currency exchange gain or loss

Select the legal entity to post currency exchange gain or loss amounts to when you enter vendor payments in one legal entity and settle them with invoices in another legal entity.
