Database log setup (form)

Click System administration > Setup > Database > Database log setup.
Use this form to view a log file that contains table and field changes.
Note
Database logs can contain sensitive data. By default, any database log can be queried by any user who has access to the database. Users can query the log by using Business Connector, X++, alerts, or by using direct access to the database. To protect data, restrict the permissions in the sysdatabaselog table. Removes a database log from the list. Note To support auditing, records that have been signed cannot be deleted from logs. For more information, see Electronic signature overview. |

The name of the table field to be recorded in the log file. |
Type of change |
The types of changes to the specified table or field to be recorded in the log file. Types include the following:

Signature controlled |
Indicates whether changes to the table or field require a signature. Note To enable auditing, records that have been signed cannot be deleted from logs. For more information, see Electronic signature overview. |
