Use this form to demonstrate the alerts functionality. When you use this form, your alerts appear faster than they typically would if they were processed through a batch job.

You can demonstrate change-based alerts and due date alerts from this form.

Note

This feature should not be used in any actual business scenarios. It is only for demonstration purposes.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Buttons

Button

Description

Start

Start processing alerts based on changes made in the system.

Stop

Stop processing alerts based on changes made in the system.

Run

Process due date alerts one time.

Fields

Field

Description

Allow repeating alerts

Select this check to activate due date alerts based on the same rule and event to be resent.

For example, if a delivery date for a purchase is coming soon and you have created an alert rule based on this due date, you receive an alert. If the Allow repeating alerts check box is selected, you can run the batch again and receive the alert once more. If the check box is cleared, the alert is not sent again, although the batch is run.

Note

Processing of due date alerts through the ordinary batch processing system works as if this check box is cleared.
