Calculation groups (form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
Click Inventory management > Setup > Costing > Calculation groups.
Use this form to define calculation groups and the related policies that control calculations for the products that are assigned to the group. The policies define the warning conditions that calculations use to generate warning messages in an Infolog. Some of the policies apply only to calculations that use the planned costs and the calculation group as the cost price model. That is, the policies define how data for a component item is used to calculate the sales price of a manufactured product. Additionally, the policies define the source of cost contribution data for a purchased component, such as the trade agreements that include the purchase price.

|
Alternate cost price model |
Select an alternative source of cost contribution data for a purchased item. A calculation uses the alternative source of cost contribution data when the primary source does not exist. For example, the item's cost is used when a trade agreement does not exist. The calculation must use planned costs and a calculation group as the cost price model. The following options are available:

Sales price model |
Select how component information is used to calculate a suggested sales price in a calculation. The following options are available:
|
Stop explosion |
Select this check box to indicate that a manufactured product is treated as a purchased component, instead of a manufactured component, for calculation purposes. The product's cost can still be calculated by using calculation groups. |
No BOM |
Select this check box if you want calculations to generate a warning message when the manufactured product does not have an active BOM. |
No route |
Select this check box if you want calculations to generate a warning message when the manufactured product does not have an active route. |
No consumption |
Select this check box if you want calculations to generate a warning message when the item on a BOM line has a quantity of 0 (zero). |
No cost price |
Select this check box if you want calculations to generate a warning message when the item on a BOM line has a cost of 0 (zero) or no cost record. |
Max. age of cost price |
Select this check box if you want calculations to generate a warning message when the cost of the item on a BOM line is out of date. The warning reflects a comparison of the calculation date to the specified days for a maximum age of cost. |
Min. contribution margin |
Select this check box if you want calculations to generate a warning message when the profitability percentage of the item is lower than you want. |
