Information Migrated by the Upgrade Tool

When you run the upgrade tool, the following information is migrated from the DPM 2006 server to the DPM 2007 server:

  • Configurations of existing protection groups

  • Replicas

The following settings and data are not migrated by the upgrade tool:

  • Existing shadow copies

  • Historical report data

  • Subscriptions to alert notifications

  • Report password

  • Alert and job history

  • Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server configuration

  • Auto discovery schedule

  • End-user recovery configuration

  • Storage pool configuration

  • Network bandwidth usage throttling settings
