Managing disks
Published : April 8, 2005 | Updated : August 17, 2005
Data Protection Manager (DPM) provides disk management features to help you manage and monitor the disks in the storage pool. The storage pool is a set of disks on which the DPM server stores replicas, shadow copies, and transfer logs. Before you can start protecting data, you must add at least one disk to the storage pool.
On the Disks tab In the Management task area, you can:
Add disks to the storage pool
Remove disks from the storage pool
Review disk status and disk allocation data for each of the disks in the storage pool
Update disk status and disk allocation data for all disks in the storage pool
