Change information for a reserved client

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To change information for a reserved client

  1. Open DHCP.

  2. In the console tree, click Reservations.

    Where?

    • DHCP/applicable DHCP server/applicable superscope (if used)/applicable scope/Reservations
  3. In the details pane, click the reserved client for which you want to change information.

  4. On the Action menu, click Properties.

  5. Modify the reservation properties you want to change, and then click OK.

Notes

  • To open DHCP, click Start, click Settings, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click DHCP.

  • Reservation IP addresses cannot be modified. If you want to change the IP address of a reservation, delete the reservation, and then recreate it with the new IP address.
