Managing Host Clusters

Use the Host Cluster actions in Hosts view to add a failover cluster that was created in Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 to System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) as a host cluster, to monitor clustered hosts, to configure the failover node reserve and Performance and Resource Optimization (PRO) for a host cluster, to move a host cluster within the host group hierarchy, and to remove a cluster from VMM. When you add or remove a node from a host cluster that is being managed by VMM, you need to update the host configuration in VMM. The topics in this section cover all of these tasks.

    Use the Add Hosts Wizard to add a failover cluster that was created in Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 to VMM as a host cluster.

Specify the severity level of PRO tips to receive and the severity level of PRO tips to automatically implement for the host cluster.
