Marketers are under increasing pressure to demonstrate their contribution to the overall performance of their organizations. It has been widely argued that an inability to account for marketing's contribution has undermined its standing within the organization. The empirical results indicate that the ability to measure marketing performance has a significant impact on company performance, profitability, stock returns, and marketing's stature within the organization. To work with marketing results, go to Marketing Execution > Results > Results. This brings you to the Results list page, which provides many of the standard controls for searching, sorting, filtering, adding, removing and viewing items in the list, plus other common features. See Learn how to work and get around in Microsoft Dynamics Marketing for details about how to use these common controls.

Whenever you create or edit a marketing result, the settings listed in the following table are provided.

Type

Select the result type.

Comments

Enter comments.

Forecast

Enter the forecast results.

Actual

Enter the actual results.

Company

Select the company the results are for.

Division

Select the Division the results are for.

Program

Select the Program the results are for.

Campaign

Select the Campaign the results are for.

Media

Select the Media the results are for.

Advertisement

Select the Advertisement the results are for.

Market

Select the Market the results are for.

Offer

Select the Offer used.

Phone

Select the Phone Number called.

Source Code

Select the Source Code the results are associated with.

URL

Select the URL the results are for.

Channel

Select the Channel the results are for.

Location

Select the Location the results are for.

Brand

Select the Brand the results are for.

Product

Select the Product the results are for.

Marketing Plan

Select the Marketing Plan the results are for.

Objective

Select the Objective of the Marketing Plan the results are for.

SWOT

Select the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity or Threat of the Marketing Plan the results are for.

Belongs To

Select the Company that the Contact that the results are for belongs to. This field is only displayed if there are more than one Belongs To Companies in the system.

Marketing Contact

Select the Marketing Contact the results are for.
