View media zones

Certain media types (inserts, newspapers and magazines) divide their circulation into zones to provide marketers with better segmentation opportunities. Microsoft Dynamics Marketing enables you to define and track zones for media outlets, rates and orders.  

  1. Open an insert, newspaper, or magazine media outlet.

  2. Click the Zones tab.

  3. Open a media outlet's rate.

  4. Click the Zones tab.

    Or

  5. Open a Media order or Expense.

    Microsoft Dynamics Marketing displays the zones that have been setup for the media outlet

  1. Type a word or phrase in the search bar.

  2. Click Go or press Enter on your keyboard.

    Microsoft Dynamics Marketing searches for Order that match the information you entered.

  • Click any column heading to sort the list using in alphabetical order; click it again to sort the list in reverse alphabetical order.

  1. Click the Search/Filter button to toggle from Search (default) to Filter.

  2. Select the information you want to use as a filter by selecting Filter from the drop-down menu.

    Microsoft Dynamics Marketing displays the filter categories that are available.

  3. Click the Value drop-down to choose the value that you want to filter on.  

  4. Select a currency, or leave blank for all currencies.

    Microsoft Dynamics Marketing applies the filter and displays the information that matches.

  5. Select a date range, or enter a custom date range.

  6. Press Enter or click Go to apply the filter.

    Microsoft Dynamics Marketing displays the Order that match the filter criteria.

  • Click Clear.

To create a new zone:

  1. On the Zones tab of a media outlet, click the New button.New button.

    Microsoft Dynamics Marketing opens the new Zone page.

  2. Enter the details. More information: Create new media zones

  1. Select the zone you want to copy by clicking on its check box Check box symbol.

  2. Click the Copy Copy button button.

  3. Click OK.

  1. Select the zone you want to deactivate by clicking on its check box Check box symbol.

  2. Click the Delete Delete button button.

  3. Click OK.

    The media order is deactivated.
