Microsoft Dynamics Marketing is scheduled to be retired on May 15, 2018. After that date the service will no longer be available. Please plan accordingly. For details, see the blog post Microsoft Dynamics Marketing service will be discontinued, and learn what’s coming next.

The Media Order Details page helps Media Buyers work with Media Orders more easily and prepare Media Invoices for Client Billing.

To work with order details, you must be a user of type Media Buyer and have Edit/View Purchase Orders privileges. More information: Work with user accounts and staff contacts

To work with order details, go to Assets & Media > Media Buying > Order Details. This brings you to the Order Details list page, which provides many of the standard controls for searching, sorting, filtering, adding, removing, and viewing items in the list, plus other common features. See Learn how to work and get around in Microsoft Dynamics Marketing for details about how to use these common features.

The Order Details list page consists of two panels. The upper panel displays all the Line Item for all the media orders in Microsoft Dynamics Marketing, whether or not they have been expensed. The lower panel displays all the invoices that have been created from the upper panel.

  1. Select the check box by each line item you want to invoice.

  2. Click the Make Invoice button in the upper right corner of the page.

Microsoft Dynamics Marketingmakes invoices for all the selected line items. One invoice is created for each vendor and media plan (if any). You can change the invoice as needed and print it or email it to your client.

  1. Select the check box for each invoice you want to copy.

  2. Click the Copy button button.

Microsoft Dynamics Marketing prompts you to specify the contact the invoice is for.

  3. Select a contact.

  4. Click OK.

Invoices can't be deleted but they can be voided. This ensures that once an invoice is created there is a permanent record of that invoice. When an invoice is voided the prices of all items are set to zero and the status of the invoice is set to Void

  1. Select the check box for each invoice you want to delete.

  2. Click the Delete button button.

  3. Click OK.

When you create an invoice following the above steps, the invoice gets linked, or 'pinned', to the Media Order Details page. This makes the invoice readily accessible if you need to review or change or it.

  1. Select the check box for each invoice you want to release.

  2. Click the Release button.
