Marketers target groups of people who are likely to buy their Products and services. These target markets are the focus of all marketing activity. Some marketers refer to target markets as market segments. Demographic, psycho graphic and geographic characteristics define target markets.

Microsoft Dynamics Marketing enables you to define your target markets any way you choose to. You can combine demographic, psycho graphic and geographic characteristics to define your markets. Microsoft Dynamics Marketing enables you to define your markets in one central database and then to track all your marketing activities that relate to each segment.

The way you reach your target markets is using vehicles such as mailing lists, customer databases, billboards in specific locations, radio and TV spots, ads in magazines, etc. Microsoft Dynamics Marketing enables you to associate all the vehicles with the markets they “belong” to.

Over time using Microsoft Dynamics Marketing you’ll build a complete and holistic view of the markets which you target. You’ll get new insights into how to use media to target campaigns for maximum effectiveness. You’ll be able to find media to use in new campaigns without having to perform a lot of repetitive, time-consuming research. You’ll be able to use media more accurately, and consistently track how different media types perform across multiple campaigns and time periods. You’ll gain the ability to effortlessly and consistently share information about the performance of the media you use. You’ll be able to track the historical cost of media, and ensure that you are paying an appropriate price for it. You’ll be able to use usage and processing data to negotiate better terms and prices with vendors.

Markets can be segmented into an unlimited number of segments; you associate the market segments with media use.

Choose Home > Settings > Media > Markets..

Microsoft Dynamics Marketing displays all the active markets that have been set up.

  1. Click the New button New button.

  2. Enter the information.

  3. Click Submit.

  1. Select the record you want to copy by clicking its check box Check box symbol.

  2. Click the Copy button Copy button.

  3. Click OK.

  1. Select the record you want to delete by clicking on its check box Check box symbol.

  2. Click the Delete button Delete button.

  3. Click OK.

  1. Click the Filter button to toggle from Search (default) to Filter.

  2. Select the information you want to use as a filter by clicking the Filter On pull-down menu.

    Microsoft Dynamics Marketing displays the filter categories that are available.

  3. Click the Value pull-down to choose the value that you want to filter on.

    Microsoft Dynamics Marketing applies the filter and displays the information that matches.

  4. Click Go.

    Microsoft Dynamics Marketing displays the Brands that match the filter criteria.

Type in a word or phrase into the search bar and click Go.

Click any column heading to sort the list using in alphabetical order; click it again to sort the list in reverse alphabetical order.

  • Click Clear to remove the filter.

Microsoft Dynamics Marketing removes the filter and displays all items.

Click the Excel button button. Microsoft Dynamics Marketing sends the information to Excel.

Click the Print button button. Microsoft Dynamics Marketing opens a pop-up window that displays the information in the grid.
