Room block wizard

The room block wizard enables users to setup multiple accommodation records for an event quickly and easily. The room block wizard creates a set of identical rooms at the same time. Despite its name, the room block wizard actually creates accommodations or beds.  

  1. On the Home tab, choose Marketing Execution.

  2. Under Event Management, choose Events.

  3. Click the event you want to work with.

  4. Click the Lodging page.

  1. Click the Room Block wizard button Wizard button.

  2. Enter the information.

  3. Click Submit.




    Select an event from the pull-down menu. Required.


    Select a venue from the pull-down menu. (Optional)


    Enter the name/type of room. Typical room names include Deluxe Single, Standard Double, King, etc. Required.

    # of Rooms

    Enter the number of rooms that are in the block. Required.

    # of Guests/Room

    Enter the number of beds or capacity of each room.

    Check-in Date and Time

    Pick a date from the calendar or enter it manually. Required.

    Check-out Date and Time

    Pick a date from the calendar or enter it manually. Required.


    Enter a description of the room. (Optional)

  4. Click Submit.

    The room block wizard will create a lodging item for each bed.

    For example, if you specified 30 rooms with 2 beds in each, the room block wizard will create 30 x 2 = 60 lodging items.
