Microsoft Dynamics Marketing is scheduled to be retired on May 15, 2018. After that date the service will no longer be available. Please plan accordingly. For details, see the blog post Microsoft Dynamics Marketing service will be discontinued, and learn what’s coming next.

Create message templates to make it easy to use the same message layout again and again. Templates are easy to create and use.

To view email marketing message templates, users must have Edit/View Email Marketing Templates privileges.

For more information, see Work with user accounts and staff contacts.

To work with email marketing templates, go to Marketing Execution > Email Marketing > Templates. This brings you to the Email Templates list page, which provides many of the standard controls for searching, sorting, filtering, adding, removing and viewing items in the list, plus other common features. See Learn how to work and get around in Microsoft Dynamics Marketing for details about how to use these common controls.

To create a new template, go to the Email Templates list page and choose the New New button button. All of the settings provided for an email template are the same as those provided for creating a standard marketing email. You can create your template using either the graphical or code editor. More information: Create or view email marketing messages

Whenever you create a new email message, the first step is to choose a template. You can choose a built-in blank template (for either the graphical or code editor) or any of your exiting custom templates. More information: Create or view email marketing messages

Microsoft provides a downloadable package of sample HTML messages that you are free to modify and use as you like. Go to the Dynamics Marketing download page to download them and other add-ons for Dynamics Marketing. The download package includes a readme file explaining how to use the templates with Dynamics Marketing.
