Centrally manage network access, including authentication and authorization, through network access servers

To accomplish this management goal, you need to deploy Network Policy Server in addition to your network access servers. For more information, see Network Policy Server (NPS) at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=154883.

Troubleshoot network connectivity problems

To accomplish this management goal, you can use Network Diagnostics Framework and Network Tracing. For more information, see Network Diagnostics Framework (NDF) and Network Tracing at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=187530.

Monitor and discover status information from a variety of hosts on the network

To accomplish this management goal, you can use Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), which works on heterogeneous TCP/IP–based networks. For more information, see Simple Network Management Protocol at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=187531.
