Use this form to specify the capabilities you want to convert task groups to during the upgrade process. To define this mapping manually, enter the ID of the capability for each task group. Alternatively, you can generate the mapping automatically. To do so, use one of the following options on the Map task groups button:

Map task groups by task group ID across all company accounts
Map task groups 1:1

Note

You can also remove any previous associations between task groups and capabilities. Select Clear mapping of all task groups

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tabs

Tab	Description
Overview	Specify the capability that you want to map each task group to.
General	Specify the capability that you want to map each task group to.

Buttons

Button	Description
Map task groups	Select the method with which to map task groups to capabilities. Or, clear any previous mappings.
Map task groups by task group ID across all company accounts	Copy the task group ID of each task group to the capability. If the same task group exists in multiple company accounts those task groups will be mapped to the same capability.
Map task groups 1:1	Copy the task group ID of each task group to the capability. If the same task group exists in multiple company accounts, those task groups will be mapped to different capabilities. The name of the task group will be suffixed with the ID of the company account.
Clear mapping of all task groups	Removes any previous associations between task groups and capabilities.
Set upgrade entry to “ready for upgrade”	Mark this item on the preprocessing checklist as completed, and proceed to the next item on the preprocessing checklist.

Fields

Fields	Description
Partition key	Select a data partition for preprocessing. Note This control is available only if you are upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3.
Filter by company:	Use to select the company for which you want to map task groups to capabilities.
Task group	View the task group to which you are designating a capability.
Name	View the name of the task group to which you are designating a capability.
Capability	Enter the ID of the capability to which you want to map the task group.
