External catalogs (list page)

Click Procurement and sourcing > Common > Catalogs > External catalogs.
Use this page to create and activate access to external vendor catalogs. When you set permissions to access external vendor catalogs, users can order items and services directly from the vendor's catalog site.

External catalog |
Add configuration data for a new external vendor catalog, activate or inactivate access to the catalog, and attach an image file for the vendor that can be displayed on the procurement site. You can also access related information such as the vendor list or the procurement category hierarchy, export the catalog list to Microsoft Excel, and view documents that are attached to the selected catalog. |

Open the Maintain details for an external catalog form to set up configurations for a new external vendor catalog. |
Edit |
Open the Maintain details for an external catalog form in edit mode for the selected external vendor catalog. |
Delete |
Remove an external vendor catalog from the list. Note If an item from the external vendor catalog has been requested, the vendor catalog cannot be deleted. Instead, the vendor catalog is set to a status of inactive. |
Activate catalog |
Set the external vendor catalog status to Active so that it is available to be added to a procurement catalog. An external vendor catalog can be set to a status of active before you have completed the configurations. However, you must complete and validate the external vendor catalog configurations before the external vendor catalog can be made available on the procurement site. |
Inactivate catalog |
Prevent the user from accessing the external vendor catalog from the procurement catalog. This action does not delete the external vendor catalog from the External catalog list page. |
External catalog image |
Open the Document handling form, where you can attach the image that you want to appear on the procurement site for the vendor’s external catalog. For example, the vendor’s logo. |
All vendors |
Open the All vendors list page to view vendor information. |
Category hierarchies |
Open the Category hierarchies form to view the procurement category hierarchy. |
Procurement catalogs |
Open the Procurement catalogs list page to view procurement catalogs. |

Type |
The type of external vendor catalog that you are configuring. Values include the following:

Catalog status |
Indicates whether the vendor catalog is available to be added to the procurement catalog. A catalog must have a status of Active to be available to users on the procurement site. |
Owner |
The user who is responsible for adding and maintaining configuration data for the vendor catalog. |
Vendor contact |
The vendor contact for the external catalog. |
